PAD
The Pedagogical Exchange Service, a German organisation promoting international student and teacher exchange, offers up to three scholarships per year to outstanding high school students in NZ to take part in a four week language course and cultural programme (usually in June or July) for an international group in Germany.

Ministry of Education Immersion Awards
The Ministry of Education offers immersion awards for students of German to spend time in a German speaking country. Information is available from your German teachers.

Internationale Deutscholympiade (IDO)
The “Deutscholympiade” is an international competition for top students of German from 30 countries. Two students and one teacher receive support to represent NZ in Germany every other year.
